About
Jasmin Zuzanna is a multi-disciplinary artist, photographer, self-publisher and visiting practitioner at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Her practice explores the stage as apparatus and the audience’s willingness to be fooled by illusions and storytelling, examining the back-and-forth pretend play between artist and viewer, investigating the complexities of human rationality in the acceptance of ‘truth’. Her work draws on the eerie and the weird, using photography and sculpture to explore dystopian aesthetics and pairing them with theatre and queer terminology. Collectively, her projects form a critique of our active participation in the illusions of everyday politics and how this pretend play upholds what we believe to be real.
